Another 60s western star has passed. Henry Darrow of High Chaparral.

I think only Mark Slade and the actress who played Victoria are the only ones who are alive.

Henry Darrow played Archduke Maurice in TNOT Tottering Tontine - a marvelous performance!

Ah Henry Darrow: what a fine actor. Along with Ricardo Montalban, he was instrumental during the 60s and 70s in promoting the casting of first-rate Latinix actors for more and better parts.

My favorite Darrow performance was in Rod Serling's Night Gallery: an uneven series that disgusted Serling, who had no creative control, but whose adaptation of Lovecraft's "Cool Air" was a standout. Mr. Darrow played the lead, beautifully. It's a creepy, yet surprisingly heartfelt, story of love. Lovecraft set the table for the creepiness; Serling brought the romance.
