Imagine our heroes trying to recover a critical component of a Victorian-era H-bomb with the aid of Patrick McGoohan ... except that our guest star is a double-agent who has a confrontation at the end with Mr. West. I think the movie 'Ice Station Zebra' was intertwined in that dream ... and McGoohan was the only actor in that film that made it watchable. I never thought of PM as a the lead villain on TWWW ... hmmm, what episodes could he have improved? Dragon Screamed? Death-Maker?

What do you eat to cause such vivid dreams?

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

McGoohan was a terrific actor: creative line-deliveries, moved well, handsome. He could play heroes and villains with equal aplomb.

I can think of three episodes that I think he would have elevated:

Prince Gio in "The Night of the Dancing Death;
Major General Walter Kroll in "The Night of the Doomsday Formula";
Gideon Styx in "The Night of the Camera."

I intend no disrespect to Mark Richman, Kevin McCarthy, or Barry Atwater. I'm only of the opinion that those roles weren't quite right for them.

On the other hand, "The Dancing Death" is such a tedious episode that I don't think anything could have saved it.
