Season 4 Oliver Goldsmith in The Good-Natured Man, Volume 1, 1759.
Clue the first: This is NOT an Artie-less episode!
Clue the first, part two: Interesting use of cotton...
Clue the second: More than one birdcage, and of generous proportions, too. |

I try to keep my nose out of these things, but niecie has labored so long and hard over this that I want to lend a helping hand.
This was a Jeopardy! variation on the usual game: you're expecting us to give you the quotation. My fragile memory doesn't remember it all exactly, but it's James to Miss Collingwood in the tag of "The Diva": along the line of "Someone once said, 'Nothing so exceeds the vanity of our existence (?) as the folly of our pursuits.'" Erudite lovely that she was, Miss C. identified the source as Oliver Goldsmith. To this the gallant Mr. West replied with John Keats from Endymion: "A thing of beauty is a joy forever." |

I first thought of Torture Chamber, so I watched it. No good there, although, at the the end Jim says his appreciation of art is, right now, "limitless" as he holds a valued painting in front of himself as the villain tries to spear him.
Then I started at the beginning and got as far as Deadly Bed. The spikes and pits works fine for it, and Jim kills the villain with a spear he pulls from the special billiards cue stick, but I still don't hear "limited" in it. And. no italian food that I can discern. |

Thank you for playing, b.b. The sound of crickets has been deafening.

Clue #4: As I think on it, this episode is a foodie's delight—lobster, lasagna, egg roll. Nobody's eating, though there is a Chew. |

I haven't said anything, but I have been mulling it over, and have watched a couple of episodes--like beerbad, with no success. Maybe this latest clue will help! |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

You are RIGHT. If the horse clue hadn't done it (plus the water) I might have had to start giving plot points.
Your turn. |
