Season 3:
Yes, you might say that, yes.
Clue #1: I love a piano, I love a piano I love to hear somebody play... —Irving Berlin
Clue #2: If you've seen one face you've seen 'em all!
Clue #3: Free yourself from the slavery of tea and coffee and other slopkettles. —William Cobbett |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Argh, I meant to watch the episode I think you're referring to, and I forgot!
Anyway, I'll make a wild wild guess: Artie to his date in the restaurant, TNOT Death Masks. |

Right episode, right situation, sort of the right spoken to, but wrong speaker. |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Hmm... so Col Richmond to the girl? I'm thinking when she asks if he's Artie supervisor in the porcelain doorknobs business. |

I really had no idea where in the episode to look for the quote, but I thought just maybe it would be in the conversation with Artie's date. (I actually like her, especially the cross look she shoots Artie when he sends her off to feed coins into the piano so he and Richmond can talk. And her lovely little package at the end! She's not just a fluffy little girl.)
Ok, now to find a new quote...
Here we go:
Season 4 You realize of course that this may ruin our friendship.

Is that from "The Night of the Druid's Blood," said to Jim by that guy played by Simon Scott in his only non-bad-guy role on the show? |

A man that loves to be peevish and paramount, and to play the sovereign at every turn, does but blast the blessings of life, and swagger away his own enjoyments; and not to enlarge upon not folly, not to mention the injustice of such a behavior, it is always the sign of a little, unbenevolent temper. It is disease and discredit all over, and there is no more greatness in it, than in the swelling of a dropsy. —Jeremy Collier |

Took me a while, but it dawned on me that this is probably from Sudden Plague, Jim talking to the crazy dr's daughter (that is, the dr is crazy, not his daughter).
