Maybe it's time for a clue. I may need to spill the Season before we're through, but let's hold on that. For now, let's say this: - As delivered, the line sounds ad libbed, probably not written in the script.
- It was not only the character's last word; it was also the episode's.

Only 103. I guessed Frank Harper in Winged Terror 2--it's the last word said--and apparently ccb has another episode/character in mind.
It was not only the character's last word; it was also the episode's.
You're right about that, ace. (Why the site is letting me post this on CG's dime beats me.) |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

That's bizarre---How did you get your answer in Cal Gal's reply box, ccb??? Never saw that happen before! |

That is weird. I looked before and didn't notice! Oh well, gives me an extra post to my total (if I cared). |

A random guess; is it the Sheriff in "The Night of the Man-Eating House"? |

A random answer: Nope.
Clue #4: The speaker may have been addressing something nonhuman. |

Maybe another clue that would narrow down possible answers---Is the speaker male or female? You decide if you feel we should know that, ccb. |

This will be my last clue. You already know that it's an episode's last word, which a character virtually throws away. Narrowly specifying the season would, I prophesy, give the game away. Before bidding you farewell, I will say that the episode is from among the first and second seasons. Subtracting the already eliminated "Man-Eating House," that gives you 55 episodes to consider—for you guys, a piece of cake. |

How about Jeremiah in the tag of TNOT Returning Dead? |

By about ten minutes, she did. I never imagined C. G. would get this one: it's from an episode she claims to despise.
You're up, Cal gal. Good-bye, friend. Yeah. |

I suddenly had this sneaking feeling about the episode in question, knowing it is one of ccb's favorites--and he knows it's one of my least favorites.
I shall peruse my notes and see if I can find a good one. |

Let's try this one.
Season 1:
What’s that for? |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Too funny--In my mind I considered Sammy Davis Jr. saying that in Returning Dead, but didn't think it happened in the end tag. I guess I was on the right track but bailed thinking I was wrong. Good for you, Cal Gal!!
Not sure of your new quote just yet though...... |

I guess I have to come up with a clue, huh? Try this:
Ding-dong, ding-dong. |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Hmmm... is it from "The Night The Wizard Shook The Earth"? One of the criminals to Jim in the latter's pimped-out stagecoach, perhaps? |

Nope, not Wizard. |

Well, I could give one or two clues that would give it away instantly (or should), but let's try this first.
All day I face the barren waste, without a taste of water... cool, cool water... |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Get that light out of my eyes! |

I have a couple of guesses but I'll start with Jim to Artie in Howling Light. |

You've got the episode right, Dieter, but wrong speaker. You're very very close though. |

I'll give Dieter a little longer. I started watching Howling Light last night, but slept through most of it so didn't find it until now. |

Yep, Artie to Jim, in the "tag" (such as it was) when Artie roused after Jim KO'd him.
You're up, Dieter. |
