DT. I do believe we need a clue or two. I sure do! |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

I'm afraid I'm going to need something more obscure than this enlightening clue! |

I thought perhaps from Puppeteer because there's a "Vivid" perfume, and also the trident, but I've watched it twice and haven't caught the quote. |

Not Puppeteer. But watching Puppeteer twice should not be too torturous...it is one of my Season 1 favorites.
Clue #1 & #2 relate to the same thing if that is any help |

No, it's no help. I'm really blanking out on this. (And it appears I'm the only one playing! ) |

I'm wildly guessing here. The ep may be Druid's Blood, the speaker Jim to Artie? |

Sorry, Torry. Not Druid's Blood. The quote is from neither of our heroes. |

Something to do with being prepared... hmm... is it that woman played by Beulah Quo in "The Night the Dragon Screamed"? Just a guess because of it involving the waterfront (hence Poseidon's trademark). |

They were well prepared, but not for screaming dragons.
Sometimes tridents can be found in place far from the water. As can fishing nets. |

Sgt. Musk to Jenny in the tag to Red-Eyed Madman.
The trident led me to it, but I am still puzzling over the other clues. |

Thank goodness...I was running out of ideas for clues. Muskox, Musk deer, muskrat... Musk - perfume scent & stabilizer Jenny says they were well prepared (hence the dresses & earrings - accessories)
Take it away, Cal Gal. |

Let me see if I can find one as obscure! |

Ghu help me if I'm right, I don't have a quote to add right now... But is this from Amnesiac, and I think ... the kid talking about Jim's shooting the bad guys? |

It is Amnesiac. It is not the kid. You're safe for the moment. |

I just watched Amnesiac and didn't hear it...maybe I'll have to watch it again. Ohhhh, the pain of it!
One question, did you watch it with CC? |

Probably. I almost always have CC on, though I don't always really notice it. I double-checked and I think the dialogue is pretty understandable--though it's in a stressful situation for the speaker. |

I thought I would give Torry a chance to come up with the correct speaker. But... I rewatched Amnesiac just to confirm what I had already figured out - Cloris is speaking to Rusty (a nasty piece of work)right after he slaps her.
It was my brain that was having a problem with the quote. I would read it and then it would get changed in my mind by the time I got to the watch the DVDs. |

You are right, DT. I watched Amnesiac again last night just to make sure I got it right! She blubbers it, but it's pretty clear.
Back to you. |

That sounds like something Jim would say to someone he's getting information out of... is it by any chance to the organ-grinder in "The Night of the Feathered Fury"? |
