Well, THAT helped. Also helped me understand the smile reference--Artie's "Mona Lisa" smile, which was mentioned in a couple of other episodes. I almost watched this episode last night, but didn't. Checked this morning.

James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Originally when you mentioned the smile, all I could think of was the smirk in the 2nd tag to, I think, Running Death, when Artie is finally beating Jim at poker. However, once you gave the clue about beauty, it all came together.
Let me see what I can find... |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

Maybe time for a clue?
I wondered if it was someone in the gorilla hunting party in Simian Terror, but you can't hear anything clearly. |

No one wants to guess, huh? I thought that clue would give it away! Surely this one will...
Clue #2: Roll out the barrel... |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

It was 11:30. Yeah, I was tired. I managed to stay awake during the shirtless scenes though

Those shirtless scenes are enough to keep anyone awake... for awhile. Then sweet dreams!
You are right! Your turn. |

Funny, I was thinking it sounded like an Artie quip. But I haven't figured out the episode yet! |

I'm good at crossword puzzles, and pretty good with jigsaw puzzles, but this one has me stumped. I watched a couple of eps I thought they might apply to, but either I missed the quote or it wasn't there! |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

I guess that means you want another clue!
Ok, try this one on for size:
They could have played a duet. |

OK, let's whittle them down.
Artie in Deadly Blossom?
I'm saying these because I know a hot hoagie is also called a torpedo, and these were episodes with torpedoes! I may be way off... Have no idea about the duet business yet. |

Hmmm...torpedo. That's a new one to me. Must be a California thing. I just checked out Wikipedia and it seems the names are very local.
So in reference to hint #1 - think Philadelphia. Also related to hint #1 - body part could also be a musical instrument, but not one that you would want to hear as a duet on www.
But as to Deadly Blossom - 'fraid not. As to Artie - I just went and checked - yes it is Artie with his Mona Lisa smile (no that is not a hint). |
