Lucius Brand in TNOT Hangman and so many other wonderful roles throughout his career.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Another obituary, which in turn links you to an appreciation of the actor: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/sep/15/harry-dean-stanton-actor-dies-paris-texas-alien-repo-man

Roger Ebert formulated "the Stanton-Walsh Rule": “No movie featuring either Harry Dean Stanton or M Emmet Walsh in a supporting role can be altogether bad."

I had not remembered all of the roles that HDS had over the years. for instance, he was Molly Ringwald's dad in the 80's movie Pretty In Pink. I loved that movie and remember being excited that I knew him from TWWW...also his role in Alien. Such a great character actor.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got my WWW dvds a few years back to find that HDS was in an episode; I hadn't remembered that from when I watched the shows when I was a kid. (He looked so young!)

The weird thing is that I know HDS had been a favorite of mine for a long time - obviously not from his appearance in WWW - but I cannot for the life of me remember what he'd been in that captured my attention in the first place!

(By the way, he was in an reimagining of Alice in Wonderland called Alice on Syfy; he played the Caterpillar. I was over the moon to see him there, but sadly he did not have much screentime.)

HDS was in 'The Mini-Skirt Mob', which is on Youtube. In an interview, Sherry Jackson said he smoked pot during the entire filming of that cheesy flick.
