Earlier today I tried to access the website for Susan Kesler's book, but I kept getting error messages. I bought the e-book CD a few years back, and I'd like to buy another copy as a gift.

If my memory is correct, the URL is www.thewildwildwestbook.com. Is the website no longer online?

Any updated URL and/or contact information would be great!

Thanks,

Steve

Welcome, DaveWest.

Sue used to pop into this board from time to time but I haven't seen her in ages. I'm not sure that she offers the digital version anymore. But maybe someone who has her email address will see this and call her attention to it. (Unfortunately, the PM feature doesn't seem to work well.)

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Does the e-book have new material?

I'm thinking that the domain name has expired. If Sue Kesler is no longer selling the book via download or CD-ROM, there is no point in maintaining the website. Consequently, she did not renew the domain name and the website has been "decommissioned."

This is unfortunate. Ms. Kesler's book, as we all know, is an invaluable reference on the series.

I read the hard-copy years ago courtesy of my public library's interlibrary loan. I had more-or-less given up on the idea of purchasing a copy -- due to the high cost of used copies. When I heard the book was available as CD, I quickly bought a copy. Ms. Kesler mailed me the CD, and I have no complaints on the electronic version.

Only have the paper book. Twice. I got a brand new one on ebay recently for pretty good price. The one she and Bob Herron signed for me was a little worn so I bought another untouched one.

There was the french translation in 1994, which added many (mostly crappy) notes to the book (not written by Sue I need point out)

I have finally remembered Sue's board name: editpal. I am also not sure if the PM service on this board works. I had difficulty with it in the past. You might try it. Her email is not listed and I don't have it in my address book.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

I think I need a minimum of 10 post before I can use the MP here, so will hold on a little until I'm good LOL

Interesting. I didn't know there was a minimum post limit. When I first joined the board, or at least early on, I used the PM. As said, the last couple of times I tried, the PM didn't go through. I think I am a wee bit above the 10 post limit!

Good luck!

It's in the profile of each member. I think it's referred to as "email" but it's basically a PM.

James: Thanks, Artie.

Oh, is that it? Best of my recollection, it's broken, right?

It hasn't worked for me, but I also haven't tried using it for a long while.

James: Thanks, Artie.
