Yes, the ever-popular game is back! For those who've forgotten, the rules are:

1. One of us quotes an episode (and tells us which season it's from).
2. The rest of us try and guess what episode the quote comes from.
3. The winner (and ONLY the winner - no barging in, please) sets the next one.
4. Like ccb's quizzes, only checking the actual episode is allowed (no other resources, for example books written by Susan Kesler ).

Before that unfortunate mishap, the quote was "Was that a shot?" as set by nittanyapple...

Oh, I'm Frau Blücher now? (Cue the horses!)

I did have a little fun making reference to this episode featuring two members of the Rat Pack - the same two who starred together in a movie called Salt and Pepper (Sammy Davis Jr played Salt; Peter Lawford played Pepper.)

Hmm... This new quote will require thought...

Oh, good grief: two weeks in, niece is trying her darnedest, and nobody else plays.

"Hold it right there!" Artemus, in the shadows inside Bronson Cave, to Jim: the first words spoken in "The Night of the Returning Dead."

I've always been partial to that teaser. For one thing, it's a western redo of Hamlet's opening. And Richard Donner and Ted Voigtlander actually shot that scene inside the cave itself. Every other cave in the series is a phony-looking interior set, fabricated with plastic and papier mâché.

I'm not going to be s*cked into this much longer. I haven't had time to tally votes from the quiz last Christmas. But I'll bat one more back to Frau Blücher:

Season Two: "You're on, Mr. West."

Season Two
Hold it right there!

Clue the first:
Not quite the full pack.

Clue the second:
Jim & Artie's mad culinary skills. *wink*

Clue the third:
Sorry, but did someone mention Frau Blücher?

Clue the fourth:
Curiously enough, there are a couple of mentions of *ahem* Salt & Pepper...

Clue the fifth:
See that horse? You'll see it again - many times.

When Cloris Leachmann passed away recently, I thought of her role in Young Frankenstein, which reminded me of a certain episode of Our Favorite Show.

And the rest is history.

Sorry, but did someone mention Frau Blücher?

That's a sweet clue. It's fun watching you formulate these things so that they're not giveaways.

I know this one, but, really, somebody else should get some skin in the game.

Finally found time to sit down & watch an episode.

Season Two
Hold it right there!
ccb Posted - 02/01/2021 : 22:56:26
Ta–dah! It's all yours.
niecie Posted - 01/31/2021 : 22:28:18
I knew it was TNOT Sudden Plague. Watched it through once without spotting it, but now I've got it: Jim to Anna (Dr Kirby's daughter) right after he first meets her.
ccb Posted - 01/31/2021 : 15:45:37
4. Probably the episode most despised by the ASPCA.
ccb Posted - 01/29/2021 : 23:38:23
3. Hacksaws, cleaver, blood-stained butcher knives … yecch.
ccb Posted - 01/28/2021 : 10:04:46
2. Unlucky with cards; no suggestion he was luckier with love.
ccb Posted - 01/28/2021 : 01:54:25
Season One: "That's what all the trouble's about."

1. After that scrape he should never have left Viriginia City.
niecie Posted - 01/26/2021 : 11:18:55
Yes, I would like a clue. Thank you.
ccb Posted - 01/26/2021 : 01:16:09
Uh … would someone like a clue? Or is no one out there?
ccb Posted - 01/21/2021 : 21:54:08
With sincere apologies for my delay: a new quizzical.

Season One: "That's what all the trouble's about."
ccb Posted - 12/28/2020 : 12:43:40
Got it in one …

That's a relief. There were a dozen more characters to go.

I'll take my turn after finishing my Special Seasonal next week. I can juggle only so many quizzes at one time.
niecie Posted - 12/27/2020 : 18:05:53
Got it in one - she's talking to Jim (just about drooling over him). The line comes pretty early in the episode, while she's playing a game of solitaire.

Your turn!
ccb Posted - 12/27/2020 : 15:19:25
Do you want to identify to whom she is speaking … ?

Not especially. That's not one of my favorite episodes and I don't feel like putting myself through it again. But if you prefer exactitude, I'll start at the top:

1. She's speaking to Jim West. (This could go on for quite a while.)
niecie Posted - 12/27/2020 : 11:20:02
Ah, do you suppose she might be the woman in white furs in Clue the eighth? And perhaps the cougar in Clue the sixth?

Yes, that's the speaker. Do you want to identify to whom she is speaking, or shall we call it officially your turn?
ccb Posted - 12/26/2020 : 21:00:28
This episode has only so many speaking characters. The next on my list is Duchess Nina Foch.
niecie Posted - 12/26/2020 : 10:53:52
Nope.

Here's a hint: two of clues refer to the speaker (one directly, the other snarkily).
ccb Posted - 12/26/2020 : 01:20:16
You have the correct episode.

Which suggests that I haven't identified the correct speaker. How about Count Balkovich?
niecie Posted - 12/25/2020 : 20:21:45
You have the correct episode.
ccb Posted - 12/25/2020 : 17:13:35
Well, it's Christmas. Niecie's efforts should not go unrewarded.

Based on the clues and the character, I'd guess Prince Gregor in "The Night of the Cossacks."

Merry Christmas, everyone!

And may 2021 look not a thing like 2020.
niecie Posted - 12/25/2020 : 13:16:16
Season 4
Well, no matter.

Clue the first:
Artie opens the door.

Clue the second:
Oh look! Vasquez Rocks!

Clue the third:
Where did that hand come from?

Clue the fourth:
Action-Artie's hair is a LOT curlier than regular Artie's.

Clue the fifth:
Blue!

Clue the sixth:
Not the first time Jim has faced mounted lancers. (Not the first time Jim has faced a cougar either.)

Clue the seventh:
Jim, are you saying if a woman isn't pretty, you don't bother to be kind?

Clue the eighth:
Why is that woman dressed all in white (including white fur) for traveling?
