Posted - 12/26/2008 : 12:34:26 Yes, the ever-popular game is back! For those who've forgotten, the rules are:
1. One of us quotes an episode (and tells us which season it's from). 2. The rest of us try and guess what episode the quote comes from. 3. The winner (and ONLY the winner - no barging in, please) sets the next one. 4. Like ccb's quizzes, only checking the actual episode is allowed (no other resources, for example books written by Susan Kesler ).
Before that unfortunate mishap, the quote was "Was that a shot?" as set by nittanyapple... |

Posted - 12/28/2020 : 12:43:40 Got it in one …
That's a relief. There were a dozen more characters to go.
I'll take my turn after finishing my Special Seasonal next week. I can juggle only so many quizzes at one time. |

Posted - 12/27/2020 : 18:05:53 Got it in one - she's talking to Jim (just about drooling over him). The line comes pretty early in the episode, while she's playing a game of solitaire.
Your turn! |

Posted - 12/27/2020 : 15:19:25 Do you want to identify to whom she is speaking … ?
Not especially. That's not one of my favorite episodes and I don't feel like putting myself through it again. But if you prefer exactitude, I'll start at the top:
1. She's speaking to Jim West. (This could go on for quite a while.) |

Posted - 12/27/2020 : 11:20:02 Ah, do you suppose she might be the woman in white furs in Clue the eighth? And perhaps the cougar in Clue the sixth?
Yes, that's the speaker. Do you want to identify to whom she is speaking, or shall we call it officially your turn? |

Posted - 12/26/2020 : 21:00:28 This episode has only so many speaking characters. The next on my list is Duchess Nina Foch. |

Posted - 12/26/2020 : 10:53:52 Nope.
Here's a hint: two of clues refer to the speaker (one directly, the other snarkily). |

Posted - 12/26/2020 : 01:20:16 You have the correct episode.
Which suggests that I haven't identified the correct speaker. How about Count Balkovich? |

Posted - 12/25/2020 : 17:13:35 Well, it's Christmas. Niecie's efforts should not go unrewarded.
Based on the clues and the character, I'd guess Prince Gregor in "The Night of the Cossacks."
Merry Christmas, everyone!
And may 2021 look not a thing like 2020. |

Posted - 12/25/2020 : 13:16:16 Season 4 Well, no matter.
Clue the first: Artie opens the door.
Clue the second: Oh look! Vasquez Rocks!
Clue the third: Where did that hand come from?
Clue the fourth: Action-Artie's hair is a LOT curlier than regular Artie's.
Clue the fifth: Blue!
Clue the sixth: Not the first time Jim has faced mounted lancers. (Not the first time Jim has faced a cougar either.)
Clue the seventh: Jim, are you saying if a woman isn't pretty, you don't bother to be kind?
Clue the eighth: Why is that woman dressed all in white (including white fur) for traveling?

Posted - 11/28/2020 : 14:56:24 Ah, I see that I was thinking of the correct scene in Poisonous Posey; I just had the speaker & spoken to reversed. It's the Russian talking to Artie (who is in disguise as Ascot Sam). |

Posted - 11/27/2020 : 11:37:59 It's been so long since I started my play—over nine months ago—that I couldn't remember what this was about.
niece: You've landed the correct episode. And you are very, very close to the speaker. Care to try again? |

Posted - 11/06/2020 : 14:03:45 Hi, one of the kids got me a new phone with a great data package, so here I am, online from home!
The episode is definitely Poisonous Posey. Not sure where...
I'll guess Artie in disguise as Ascot Sam... to... the Russian? |

Posted - 05/28/2020 : 08:55:04 Good question. The board is still extremely quiet. Niecie, who played the game regularly, is unable to access internet these days. She generally got it at the library which is now closed. With all that's going on, I haven't thought about the quote you provided. Maybe I can over the weekend. |

Posted - 05/27/2020 : 01:37:19 I'm only now rejoining the party. If you're starting a new round, does that mean you're conceding defeat by the one I started … whenever? |

Posted - 05/14/2020 : 09:20:30 Do you want to start it? Either a new quote here or start a new thread? We didn't have much activity with the old one, even with no pandemic! But perhaps people will be looking for something to take their minds off daily life. |

Can we do a new game? I think it would just the perfect diversion for our current pandemic situation......... |
